Clear your mental clutter
September 11th, 2008 by Ingrid Cliff
I was checking out Jenni Markham’s blog and found this great quote:
The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.

This rings true to me.
As my work relies 100% on my creativity, anything that blocks my creativity is a problem. There are days when I sit at the computer and face writers block – those are the days when I know I need to go back and work on my systems and processes, clear physical clutter in my environment or read an inspirational book to change my mindset.
What do you do to clear your mental clutter?
Until next time
