About Ingrid Cliff & Heart Harmony
Ingrid Cliff was one of those nerdy kids at school who loved English. Hand her a Hamlet or give her a George Orwell, and she was in her element.
She first discovered her passion for writing for others when writing her brother's Uni psychology assignments while she was still at High School. This naturally led her into her double degree in Psychology and Industrial Relations (with History & Philosophy of Science thrown in for good measure).
Since 1983, Ingrid has been at interesting places at interesting times. She was involved in writing the history of the Qld Police Union when the Fitzgerald Inquiry came into being. She then went on to rewrite the Rules of Court of the Qld Industrial Commission (which had not been touched for over 100 years) and was involved in creating the first Industrial Relations keyword thesaurus for Australian IR decisions.
Ingrid was part of the team that totally rewrote and structured the Public Service Award under Dr Peter Coaldrake, before being appointed as Director of Corporate Development in Qld Treasury. Her team developed SES and executive officers in leadership and communications, as well as driving corporate and strategic planning for Treasury. She created the first integrated planning model for the Qld Government before escaping over the wall of government where she promptly tripled the size and profits of a large Pharmacy chain while reducing overall wages percentage.
In 2003, Ingrid opened Heart Harmony to put businesses into words. Ingrid's philosophy is that it is all about helping people discovering and sharing their uniqueness … that leadership, ethical marketing and human resources all share the same DNA – people inspiring other people to be their best.
Heart Harmony works with businesses ranging in size from small home-based start ups, through to some of the largest companies in Australia including Flight Centre and BP.
Her passion is making the complex simple and using whatever project she is working on to help her clients gain clarity, rediscover their passion for their business, inspire action and get results.
